i have a sony CS VGN 230J AND IT JUST SHUT DOWN OWN IT'S OWN, SOME TIMES IT WILL STAT UP AND SOMETIMES IT WONT,

Don't use capital letters when you post. It is very rude.

1) Try starting up without the battery and use the power cord instead.
2) Try reseating the ram. If you have two ram chips, take out one and start up.
3) Test your power supply unit.
