My dell Inspiron won't turn on and my battery is dead so I have to have it plugged into the ac adapter at all times. When I turn it on the caps lock light just flashes repeatedly. What can I do. It has worked fine until I tried to take it apart to clean the fan. I accidentally took out what I believe to be the memory cards when taking it apart. I'm pretty much computer illiterate. Any help would be appreciated.

On thing you can try is to check and be sure you got the memory modules in right and firmly seated.
Beyond that, its best that you take the problem to the shop. There's little or nothing user repariable in any computer let alone a laptop.
Expect the repair price to include a new battery.
