Hello,

I want to transfer my dating site and its blog to a new domain. The old site has some back links and the new domain does not have any.

Should I use 301 redirect from old domain to new domain?

or

should I create some links from old domain and point to new domain?

Which method is good for SEO?

301 Redirect is best always because Google sends 95% of value of backlinks of your older domain to newer domain. However, you must renew your domain name for some time period because your older domain acts as a bridge between newer domain and older domain's backlinks. Once you complete, 301 setup, you have to inform it to Google through Google Webmaster Tools for quick conversion.
