Hello there,

Well im on campus and im a IT student worker. Unfortunately the staff here has not been able to come up with a solution about the Internet explorer 7 freezing problem. It happens to all the computers on campus at certain times. The symtoms include just freezing and not being able to click in the web address bar or scroll or click any controls to get the website working again. It happens on anywebsite, not just one. Don't matter what your doing if you pause for a couple of seconds, it freezes but it only freezes if you pause. if your constantly clicking or moving from page to page, your ok. It doesn't do this everytime but just at certain times and to certain computers. We have narrowed a couple of solutions, one is we just hit the ALT key and it highlights the webaddress bar. then everythings back to normal. But i was just wondering if anyone else has come accross this and if you might know what might be causing this malfunction. Please let me known of any imformation that you may come accross, anything helps because mose students on campus are frustrated and computer iliterate, so they just panic when it freezes so we have to tell them our quick fix solution. Anything Helps! thanks all!

Hello all, i was just wondering if their was a way to delete confidential e-mails, i can't just delete them i was wondering if their was some sort of electronic shredder or something of that matter. If anybody has any suggestions, it would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello again this is JT,

I don't know why this is still hapenning been trying to work with our IT department about the issue but nobody seems to know whats up so i guess it will never get resolved, I switched back to 03 outlook and no problems. I hate Office 2007! aghh.. Thank you for passing by!

Hey there, You might want to try Nero Suite edition, this might help try and solve your problem.

JT

Hello,
I have been having problems on Outlook, it is a strange problem. Everytime i get a new message, outlook crashes, it stops responding and then it closes. I have tried to run the fixmapi.exe but it is unsuccessful. I also tried Uninstalling Microsoft Office 2007 and reinstalling it, but it still gives the same error message! Everytime the computer boots up this popup boxs appears and says that the

WindowsSearch.exe is unable to be located. Saying theres something wrong
with the MAPI32.dll

I have google the problem and tried their solutions but no solutions have been found. I need help and any suggestions possible to resolve this issue. I can start it(outlook) back up after i receive an e-mail message and read it but everytime i get a new message it crashes. Any suggestions??

Thanks
JT

Hello, well i have written some code to try and simulate rolling a dice.. my program has to be able to play craps... here is how it should be played..
In a nutshell craps is played with two regular dice. You win a round of craps if your first roll is a 7 or 11 and you lose the round if your first roll is 2, 3 or 12 (called craps!). If any other number is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) it must be rolled again before a 7 is rolled in order to win. If 7 is rolled first you lose.

The goal of the simulation is to simulate a games of craps where 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 are rolled on the first roll. We want to know the odds of eventually winning after each of these rolls.
The Design
Your Python program should get a value (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) from the user (bonus points if you check to make sure the input is correct and reprompt when wrong input is entered). The program will figure out the odds of winning if that value is rolled first. To do the computation the program will have to loop many times (10,000?) and simulate throwing dice. If a 7 is thrown, the player loses that round. If the point is thrown (4,5,6,8,9,10) then the player wins that round.
Your program must compute the percentage of rounds won for each of the points.

Hello there,
I am having problems with this code i have written and it is a tic tac toe program. It runs and everything but it doesn't get a winner when i call the method getWinner. this method is suppose to return 'x', 'o' , or ' ' depending onwhether X, O or no one is the winner. Oh yeah a player wins only if they have three-in-a-row, in a row, a column, or a diagonal.. ?? I am just stuck on what to do.. i need your advice or something.. Oh yeah i'm using BlueJay.. thanks ..

Hello there,
Okay i had to write a program that computes the number of days between two dates, right, and so far i'm just sort of stumped over what to do next to get it all right and functioning correctly. I've written the code and everything else, and It runs, but the awnsers not what i'm looking for. Maybe someone can tell me what i'm not doing that i need to be doing. Well i would appreciate your help.
Here's my source code:

[code]
// Program 7
// This program computes the number of days between two dates.

include

using namespace std;

int DayCalculation (int month, int day, int year, int month2, int day2, int year2);

int main()
{
int month;
int secondMonth;
int year;
int day;
int secondYear;
int secondDay;

  cout << "Enter first dates month ";
  cin >> month;

  cout << "Enter second dates month  ";
  cin >> secondMonth;

  cout << "Enter the first dates day    ";
  cin >> day;

  cout << "Enter the second dates day    ";
  cin >> secondDay;

  cout << "Enter the first dates year    ";
  cin >> year;

  cout << "Enter the second dates year     ";
  cin >> secondYear;

  if (month >= 10 && day >= 15 && year >= 1582)

      cout << "The date you entered is invalid";

      else
           DayCalculation ( month, day, year, secondMonth, secondDay,secondYear);

     return 0;
}

int DayCalculation ( int month, int day, int year, int month2, int day2, int year2)

{
     int result1 = 0;
     int result2;
     int ...

Okay well i'm having trouble understanding this program ..in which our professor doesn't even explain..I'm so lost..
I hope somebody can help me please..
here's the problem...

I have to write a program in c++ that computes the number of days between two dates using the Julian day number which is the number of days that have elapsed since noon on jan 1, 4713 B.C , so i have to use the julian day number for each date and subtract one from the other.
This algorithm might help.. So given the year (an integer such as 2001), month (an integer from 1 to 12 ), and day ( an integer from 1 through 31), so if month is 1 or 2, then subtract 1 from year and add 12 to month.

If the date comes from the Gregorian calender (later than Oct 15, 1582), then compute an intermediate result with the following formula (otherwise, let intRes1 equal 0):

intRes1 = 2 - year/100+year/400 (integer division)

compute a second intermediate result with the formula

intRes2 = int(365.25 * year)

compute a third intermediate result with the formula

intRes3 = int(30.6001 * (month + 1))

Finally, the Julian day number is computed with the formula
julianDay = intRes1 + intRes2 + intRes3 + day + 1720994.5

So my program should make appropriate use of value-returning functions in solving this problem. integer type long and floating point type double may have to be used. Also it should prompt appropriately for input (the two ...
