If I have a long string of text in say a table cell, how can I make it break so it doesn't cause horizontal scrolling? Thanks :)

I will need to buy an SSL certificate soon and I have a few questions. When I create the signing request and purchase the certificate, am I tied to the server that generated the request? Once I buy the certificate will I be able to easily transfer it to a new host? I'm thinking of getting the godaddy Deluxe SSL certificate or the Essential SSL certificate from instantssl.com. I would like it very much if people post about their experiences and opinions with these and other SSL providers.

I'm looking for a way to collect hardware/software information from users that visit a site I'm working on (The user will request this action with full knowledge of what is happening of course). You can see an example of what I'm looking for at Crucial where they have a button to click that checks if your pc is ready to upgrade to Vista or not. I've looked around but can't seem to find any pre-packaged solutions. Does anyone know of anything like this that can be licensed or bought? Thanks.

I'm writing some copy and the premise is a story about a small business owner. "small business owner" is NOT the keyword phrase I want to optimize the page for, but I find myself using "small business owner" overa and over again. The product is for small business owners, but I don't expect to rank for "small business owner" or for people to search for "small business owner" in an effort to find my product. My question is: Should I try to change the wording to avoid repeated use of small business owner (I've thought about using SBO)? I'm afraid …

DaveSW I hope you will help me :) At this site. There is a vertical menu on the left side of the page. It uses some javascript for styling and animation. It works fine and looks good in firefox, but in IE as you hover over the different menu options the background will disappear and in the status bar you will see a message about downloading images. All classes in the rollover have the same background image. Any ideas as to how to prevent the flicker and redownload? Thanks

I have a suggestion for any forum that deals with job offers. How about locking posts that are more than a month old? [RANT] When I come to the forum I browse thru most of it. The only places I don't check very often are: software development, tech talk, and coffee house. Otherwise though, if there is a new post I see it. It usually takes me 20-30 minutes to look through everything (yeah I know I don't have to) and that's if I'm not responding to posts (I try to help :)) So, when I look in the "Webmaster …

I got past my earlier jaggies issue :) and now I'm trying to decide on some colors. The one thing I would like to keep in this pic is the red circle, I'm open to changing other stuff though. What does everyone think? What colors should I use?

I was checking the cpanel for my website and saw this as a referer:
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=western+dance&first=11&count=10&FORM=PORE
Does this mean that someone performed this search and then actually came to my site? Or will this type of thing show up whenever someone enters a search that my site is listed under? Please help me understand

Don't know if this happens to anyone else or not, but sometimes the ads near the top of the page will double overrunning parts of the page. This has happened in firefox 1. and firefox 1.0.1. See the attachment if you don't understand. Dance

Hi I have a couple of harddrives (same model) that I have put in a striping array. In Nero you can go to File->Preferences->Cache, about the middle of the dialogue there is a way to test drive speed. When I look at the drive speeds like this in Nero the striped array shows at same speed as 1 of the harddrives by itself before being in the array. I thought that due to striping the speed would almost double?? Is it something about the way Nero performs the test or do you think the raid array is not functioning properly? …

Can someone explain to me the purpose of the arrows that show up to the left of the forum titles on the index? They seem to be related to recent posts, but there are times I will see one next to a forum that I have already read all the posts. Does it take some time before they update? Whats the deal? Its driving me crazy I HAVE TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! :o Dance
