Need more information than that.
What is over-volting?
How do you know?

crunchie 990

Hi and welcome to Daniweb.

I see a couple of problems in that log. Because we no longer use hijackthis for identifying/removing malware, I would ask you to follow ALL the directions given in the following sticky;

http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/microsoft-windows/viruses-spyware-and-other-nasties/threads/134865/read-me-before-posting-a-request-for-assistance

Please post up ALL the requested logs and I will take a look when I see them.

I have also moved this thread to the correct forum.

Try rebooting the modem/router.

Download LSPfix from url=http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.zip
On the opening screen, click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox, then click Finish.

crunchie 990

Download and run Winsockfix from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Network-Tweak/WinSockFix.shtml
Let me know how it is now.

crunchie 990

Try another scan with your AV and let me know if anything else pops up please.
How is the PC?

crunchie 990

Run OTL
Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

Seem to have mine, but I may need a 'how to' to find and use the Mod tools :)

crunchie 990

I will take a look as soon as I finish work :)

crunchie 990

Can the user IP address be included there as in VB?

crunchie 990

Under 'Current Member Activity,' is it meant to have multiple entries for the same user?

crunchie 990

I got 517 PM's :)

crunchie 990

Cannot send PM still.

Tried to ban AD but there is still no option to do that ;p

Still no smilies

crunchie 990

Hi dodge. Bear with us please. We are having a few forum problems at the moment.
Hopefully they will be sorted soon :)

crunchie 990

Ok, before we go any further, I need to see the entire log header from MalwareBytesAnti_Malware please.
The one you posted is missing a little info.
When faced with these nasty viruses and trojans, have you considered just wiping the hard drive clean and just re-installing the OS on your computer to ensure 100% that you have removed all of the known and unknown malware you have installed?
Please read the sticky at the top of the forum.

Hijackthis is almost worthless now.

crunchie 990

Yes. It will just run at the slower speed.

crunchie 990

Hi and welcome to Daniweb forums :).

Did you have a question?

crunchie 990

Try installing one stick of RAM only and boot the PC. If it starts, shut down and install the other. Make sure power is off and press the power button to discharge the capacitors before doing anything.

crunchie 990

Remove the CMOS battery or use the jumper to reset the bios. Give it a few minutes then replace the battery (or jumper back to it's original position).
Go into the BIOS and set the system clock then save and exit.
See if it will boot now.

crunchie 990

Your point?

crunchie 990

Where would the BIOS logs be?

crunchie 990
.......defiantly.........
I see this on so many forums I finally had to respond.

It is not defiantly.

It is definitely

crunchie 990

Thanks for getting back to us.

crunchie 990

2 year old thread alert.

crunchie 990

I know the rules, but thank you anyway :).

One can do idiotic things, but that does not necessarily make one an idiot :).

crunchie 990

Don't let your teacher catch you :P

crunchie 990

No name calling that I can see.

crunchie 990
Hi i sent it to your inbox. It's a class assignment and i didnt want everyone to see it and copy it.
Read the rules. No help to be asked for, or given through the PM system. You want help? Then be prepared to used the correct channel, the same as everyone please.

crunchie 990

To the original poster. The first thing you should do is determine with software (as suggested by Jholland) whether or not the system is overheating.
Don't even think about putting a conductive liquid anywhere near electronic devices. To do so would be a little stupid. To suggest it, is even more stupid, in my opinion.
