I need help, I have 2 8-port hubs and 12 computers. Can I connect the two hubs together to make it function as 1? If yes, how do I do it? Do I need special hardware or software to do it? I'd very appreciate all the help you can give me. Thanks,

I'm planning on building a new desktop probably in about a couple of months or so. I haven't been as updated with the newer parts and technologies as I was a few years ago due to changes in priorities (haven't lost love for computers though). I need suggestions on what specs would suit my needs as indicated below. Purpose: - Everyday browsing, facebook and probably some youtube streams for my daughter. I would also need it to be able to handle some newer games that might come out in the next year or so. So far I only play [World …

== I just need to know, I'm sure I'll be needing the info in the future. == Whenever I install win2k over win98/ME or I start on a clean install of win2k/XP, I always choose FAT32. This is mainly because I'm familiar with it, and NTFS can't be seen on win98/ME when I last had a dual boot operating system. What's the difference between NTFS and FAT32? which is better? should I use NTFS over FAT32 on a win2k/XP system? can I view/share files from a computer with NTFS using a computer with FAT32 (meaning win98/ME) over a network? Please …

I've been reading and posting again for the past 2 days after years of inactivity. (I've only had the spare time and resources lately) It is only now that I realized that I have missed so much since I became inactive. You know what? I actually missed DW and everything seems bizaarely diffent from how it looked like ages ago... Anyway, It's good to be back (again).

I have a desktop and a laptop, I use the desktop to connect to my ISP via dial-up. both computers are connected via a crossover cable since I only have to connect 2 PC's together. Both computers can see each other on the network, and both can share files and printers. Internet sharing used to work but then suddenly stopped, anybody has any ideas on why this happened? and btw, both are running win2k...

I'm having this problem with one of my computers. I sure its infected with something but i'm not sure what it is, I think it's a trojan. It keeps sending e-mails to randomly generated users to specific servers. i.e. <random>@aol.com. since the e-mail client's smtp server is not set up, it doesn't send any emails but rather displays an error msg. Another thing is, my windows folder is c:\windows but it keeps on creating a c:\winnt\system folder and creates an .exe file with random file names. i usually delete them but sometimes they can't be deleted coz' the files are …

This just happened yesterday without me doing anything at all... here's the problem: I start up win2k, then I log onto it, then an error message appears that says "your system has no paging file or your paging file is too small." then it gives instructions on how to adjust the paging file. I click on 'ok' then it logs on again, then, shows the s2pid error message again. when I click on 'ok' again, it goes through the same procedure again... It's nice that it tells me how to adjust the paging file coz it says that it is …
