The owners are considering Meraki. Thanks Dani!

rproffitt, the chain forces them to pay hundreds of thousands in royalties and provides almost no support or assistance. I have actually tried to persuade them from leaving the chain since most of their business is repeat from large companies housing their staff here for the local plants and factories.

rproffitt commented: It's always sad to read stories like that. I have mine as well. +15

Thanks everyone.

Looking for an efficient way to block p2p content on a hotel network.

Thank you both. I moved it down to 6 hours and it helped some. Moving the lease time down to 30 minutes has shown a significant decrease in complaints about connectivity.

I will change the client lease time to 12 hours and see if that helps.

The issue of not connecting to the proper floor is a possibility, but using the different SSIDs has helped some. Though the problem still occurs if I am there when there is a complaint and I connect with my laptop.

Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated. I just took on this account and all I want to do is rip everything down and re-wire it all with new equipment but they won't let me. I have attempted a diagram to show the current setup. Please see the attached image. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

So the current setup is the Comcast SMC Modem/Router is handling DHCP with an IP range of 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.179, but each linksys router is also handling it's own DHCP. Each Linksys has a static IP connection to the Comcast router with an IP of 192.168.1.180 or higher. Each Linksys is set up with it's own subnet of 192.168.10.1/ 11.1 / 12.1 etc.... They are each permitted to give out 200 IP's, The client lease time is currently set to 1 day.

The front office living area never has any problems with Wifi connections. My problem occurs with the guests. Many times instead of being assigned an IP properly they are assigned an IP of

IP 192.168.1.100 Subnet (correct) 255.255.255.0 but no Default Gateway. The IP could possibly be correct if coming off the Comcast Router DHCP, but this occurs on the Linksys routing as well. When it should be 192.168.10.100 or 192.168.11.100 etc...

Any thoughts or Ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. I just took over their account and it's a mess. Apparently this had been working up until a few months ago. When their In-House computer guy moved ...

I'm trying to find something that monitors the major hubs in the USA. Realtime... I found a website that monitors it every four hours but I would prefer realtime monitoring and possible notifications when issues occur that effect the South Eastern USA and Florida specifically.

I will use tdskiller tonight. Thanks caperjack. On a side note I've been using combofix for quite some time and am fairly well versed in the use of many applications that are out there. I've been exploring other avenues of education and work the past couple of years and have really fallen out of touch with what is out there as far as malware goes and the newer applications to combat it.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm going to run through a small list of actions taken:

Hijackthis
malwarebytes
superantispy
adaware
avg free
combofix

These were all downloaded and run separately of course so there were no conflicts. As far as what "this" things names was ram619. If I knew what it was called I could run a simple Google search and find a step by step removal. Unfortunately all I have a clues and those clues are the locations that it takes me.

Any further input is welcome folks. The problem does still exist. It is not a cache issue either. I run ccleaner regularly as well as using the windows cleanup weekly.

That is a link I was redirected to. It happens across all browsers.

I have an interesting browser hijacker that randomly redirects me whenever I click a search link, and recently even if I paste a direct url into the address bar it will redirect. I've been away from this field for a bit and am a little rusty, but I have ran the usual (AVG, Malwarebytes, Hijackthis, combofix, Security Essentials) all separately of course. To no avail though. Any input on this topic would be welcome.

When it redirects it has an IPs in the address bar, or things like livesearchnow...

see link as example->http://8.26.70.252/see/display.php?q=fish&affsub=46938-a25440&subid=e10

Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance

Unit:

2007 iMac with OS X

Problem:

Will not boot. Upon pressing power button it attempts to go through startup procedure then grey-screen and error message (You Need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the power button again.)

I have come to understand this is called a "Kernel Panic"

I have been researching this issue all day. I cannot get it to safe boot by pressing the shift key. It does pull a progress bar but ultimately fails and returns to the kernel panic.

I have attempted to start from the CD to attempt utility disk, but I cannot get it to boot from CD. I have held the C key down. I have pressed it repeatedly. I have used it in combination with the alt/control/command keys. All have failed.

If anyone has any idea what might can be done I thank you in advance for your assistance.

~Daniel

I live my days now 100% legit. I no longer hold a black, white, or grey hat. I have stay as far away as possible. I used to live not so legit. It caused problems. I avoided the GBI Georgia Bureau of Investigation for a very very very long time. It was part of my absence from the internet. I avoided something I didn't do for fear that during the investigation they may find something I actually did as a minor. Though the statute of limitations may have expired it wasn't something willing to risk. So if you desire to live a life in hiding and holding your breath every time you see a law enforcement officer heading your direction. Then by all means feel free to try and do something stupid like this.

I personally am glad I do not have to look over my shoulder every waking moment anymore. I was cleared of all charges, and intend not to be put in a bad situation again. Remember yes these people have gotten away with it SO FAR. But also remember you are talking about banks. There are two entities in the world that control money. Banks and Oil companies. Not governments. I have worked for the US Government, Banks and for an Oil company. The odds are not in the favor of the people who took the money. They will be found eventually.

It is very rare to find atm's running windows where the user can see it at least. I've done some troubleshooting for bb&t on atm's.. Are they vulnerable yes, but it would take an extensive amount of time and dedication. At the blackhat gathering this year I believe it was there was an atm hack exploited.

Is your css working for any part of your site ?

Also:;;::
try this for you static nav

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/staticmenu3.htm

open access and create a small test database.

if it works add a couple of queries and relationships

let me know if it fails

It's using the browser's font properties that have been established by the user and and showing it at X % of that and the /1 is the line spacing.

For Example:

if 100% = 100 pixels

65%/1.5 = 65px / and 1.5 line spacing

this is not my specialty area, and someone will correct me if I am wrong.

But with what you are showing. I have to ask a couple of questions>>

 1. If all of those ID's are going to use the same attributes; why not just use 1 id?

 2. If they are not going to use EXACTLY the same attributes you have to create individual id's anyway, and it only takes a moment to add the hover attribute. So why waste time trying to merge the id's?

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding something. But it seems to me you are trying to streamline something that is already as efficient as it gets

Copy the CSS file to each of your subdirectories.

Also please post your html link to the css file. I am basing my above solution that your html is calling for the file to be within the directory the file is in.

Putting the Windows 7 installation on a USB thumb drive has a few advantages—a small USB key is much more convenient for carrying around than a DVD, the OS will actually install much faster, and you can use a USB key to install Windows 7 on systems that do not have a DVD drive, such as a netbook. In fact, you can even install Windows 7 on netbooks that have fairly modest hardware. Dennis Chung, an IT Pro Evangelist at Microsoft recently posted a video demonstrating how easy it is to prepare your thumb drive and use it to install Windows 7. Here’s a quick look at the process:

First, you’ll need the DiskPart utility on the system you will use to prep the thumb drive. This is a free disk partitioning utility that is likely already installed on your Windows system. If not, you can download DiskPart here.
Launch the DiskPart utility by typing diskpart at the Start Menu.
Then run the list disk command to check the status of your drive.

Now run select disk 1 where the "1" is actually the corresponding number of your USB drive.
Run clean.
Once the thumb drive is clean, you can run create partition primary.
Now make the partition active by entering active
Then you need to set up the file system as Fat32 by running format fs=fat32 ...

Hi Everyone,

It's official I'm back. I've started adding input instead of randomly popping by and asking for some assistance. So in my disappearing act I managed to do the whole military thing, grab a few associates degrees make a lot of money.. lost in all in a really bad night in vegas... and on may 16 of this year I had a beautiful baby girl. Raelea Renee Beasley.

So.. I have been busy haha just unfortunately not here, or phpbbhacks so we are going to change that.
I look forward to meeting the new people with issues and the techs helping to resolve them. Already have been spoken to by a couple. Got a few pm's from people that thought i must have been dead.

I've been a member since june 2005. There is going to be a huge increase in post count though. If anyone knows of a specific area that needs an extra helping hand point me there.
