I think Snippets and Tutorials should be excluded from 'Unanswered', or a new section should be created called 'Open Questions' that doesn't include snippets and tutorials. Most of the snippets/tutorials don't receive an answer for a long time and they cloud the view when looking for a quick question to answer/solve. ..just my two cents. :)

Is this correct? ![b2b188d015f982534475f938e7bb255c](/attachments/large/2/b2b188d015f982534475f938e7bb255c.png "b2b188d015f982534475f938e7bb255c") That seems like a lot of points for someone that has never contributed. Bug, or exploit?

I was just looking at my profile and noticed the member badge section was pointing to 127.0.0.1. I followed the "member badge" link (the page that shows you all the options for member badges), and I found the 127.0.0.1 link there too. Here's some screenshots: ![874331d884a98ce9826488332f6e5dc4](/attachments/small/2/874331d884a98ce9826488332f6e5dc4.png) ![8fa61b7b947ac9b5033017367a405a72](/attachments/small/2/8fa61b7b947ac9b5033017367a405a72.png) ..i clicked my member badge while on my local dev machine. Is that where this could be from? I mean, I also clicked my badge from my *real* site just to see if it would change anything, but it wouldn't. Page refreshes didn't help either. I'm not in it for the linkback, it …

I'm not much of a javascript developer right now, as I just recently found the need to learn it. I'm using jQuery, and Javascript (sometimes stupidly, like when I find out jQuery already "abstracted out" something I wrote a 20 line function for). My question is about style though, with all the anonymous functions wrapped in jQuery functions, I get lost some times looking for the missing } or ) or ; (i like to use the ; even though I think it's not needed in some places). I had to get a little open-source .js file for part of …

I would like to create my title image out of pure CSS3, but there is one feature that I'm not quite sure I can even do. Plus, the features that I know are possible don't seem to mix well. I don't know CSS very well, at least anything past the basics. I was hoping for some help. Gradient Text - i did this, and it works by itself. Drop Shadow - when combined, overrides gradient and i get a solid black shadow. Inner Bevel - ????? Is it possible to do all three things with CSS3 alone? I've googled and …

I was trying to edit a post that I made earlier, and the "Edit Post" link brought up the text edit mode, but did not have any "Save" or "Submit". Only "Cancel". Also, the "Edit Post" button was still active. When I clicked it the second time it just "refreshed" the text box. Is this a bug or a feature? I'm using Linux and Google Chrome 25. Update: I see now that Firefox doesn't even show the "Edit Post" link, which is probably what Chrome should have done. (Because it's been a while since I posted it?) I know there are plenty of other places to get info or code snippets for **microcontroller programming** (especially **arduino**). Out of all the boards/sites I visit, I like the **DaniWeb** format the most. I was wondering if a **microcontroller** or **arduino** section could have a home here. Or would that be best classified under "***Software Development\C***", or other various languages that can be used for more than 1 type of hardware? Or **Raspberry Pi**, would that be a "**Linux and Unix**" thing, or something else? Honestly, I'm just happy you have a **Python** section of its own, a couple other …

I've added the necessary registry key to have my app run when windows loads: Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run MyProgram = c:\MyDir\MyProgram.exe ..I've also tryed adding it to the Programs\StartUp folder. My app still won't load when windows does. Other apps do, and I was wondering what might be preventing my app, and only my app, to not load. Is it Security? Trust Level? or what? I've searched everywhere for an answer, even here on DaniWeb. I cannot find anything. My Application requires that it be ran as Administrator, i was thinking that might have something to do with it. But I'm not sure. …

I was looking for a piece of code to show all users logged on to my system. What I mean by that is: only 1 person is ever truly logged in at my house, but there are sometimes other users "logged in" with programs running under their account. This is due to the "Fast Switching", "Switch User", feature of Windows. I found almost nothing, except for one idea that if you can find the owners of all "explorer.exe" processes running, then you will know who is "logged in". The .Net framework cannot do this alone, as far as I can …
