Hi,

I'm looking for a support chat system that I could integrate with my own web application. I've searched for a while and just found these two options:

As the first one has a developers license, it seems to me that the product is quite old and I'm not sure about being updated with new technologies (websockets). The second one doesn't have a dev license :\

The features that I'm looking for are:

  • Proactive Chat (the operator can start a chat with the client)
  • Chat Transfer between operators
  • Chat Logging
  • Canned messages (if possible)

Does anyone knows another option?

Cheers!

Hello good people,

Can you please help me with one issue that I'm facing. Is it possible in ASP .NET to get a webpage contents (let's say for example the google homepage) that has some special tags (instead the search buttons you'll have tags like %%SEARCH%% and %%FEEL_LUCKY%%) then, right before the output, you can replace all the special tags with my own controls?
I can make this without any problem in PHP, but not quite sure how to make this in ASP .NET (C#)

Cheers

Hi guys,

Does anyone knows a way to, in .net websites, monitor how long does a user stays in your website, and how does a user stays in certain page of my website?
I'm thinking of making frequent ajax calls, but I'm not sure on this.
Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi guys,

I'm sure that this would be an easy thing to do, but i'm away from c# for quite a long time. I need to compare two dates (only dd-MM-yyyy format) and show the result, but this result must be really accurate, meaning that it must make the calculation based on the number of days that each month has. Has anyone got an idea for it? I'm doing it in a WPF (C#) application.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea of a jquery plugin any other js plugin for editing and saving an image?
I wanted to do something like this: http://www.customink.com/lab/?#shared
But only with option to add text and afterwards saving the image.
Any help?
Cheers

Yep... it's for a PHP website and I'm looking for a PHP solution :)

I don't now what you are trying to do, but, how about doing it by ajax?

You should write some litle more of your code... like, the code in viewnotice.php for example..

Hi guys,

Let's see if you can give some advice.
I'm looking for a pageflip service (it can (and should) be a paid service) that let me have in my own website BO the actual PDF upload option and do the pageflip conversion. Does anyone knows such service? Or as an alternative, with some kind of api.
I've check over 15 page flippers, but the only let mt do the conversion in their own website or with some kind of desktop app.

Any help? Please?

Cheers

That's easy. You can do something like this:

For example, if you want to store an image to a folder called "images" in the root of your site and the file upload control is called "fuImage".
if (fuImage.HasFile) //in here you can make multiple checks, like content type, etc
{
string path = Server.MapPath("images"); //this will get the physical path to the images folder
fuImage.SaveAs(path + fuImage.PostedFile.FileName); // the fuImage.PostedFile.FileName is the original name of your uploaded file, you can always change it (and imo I recomend you to do it).
}
This an very very simple example. IMO you should always check if a file with the same name exists and delete it or rename the new one.

Hope that this would help you

Ups... didn't saw that panel...

Just try this:
DropDownList d = (DropDownList)Panel3.FindControl("Text" + i);

Sure,here is the source code.
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="WebApplication2._Default" %>

Found it :icon_cheesygrin:

As I suspected, you didn't set ID to the checkbox.
You can see here where you put your template field
<asp:TemplateField>
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox1" runat="server" />
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
The ID is "Checkbox1", but in the code behind you are looking for a checkbox with a diferent ID
CheckBox cbox = (CheckBox)grow.FindControl("cbox");
Just change the ID in the template fiel to "cbox" and that should work.
Yes,it is enabled.
That's weird because your code seems to be right.
Can you post the aspx code just to check one thing?

is the viewstate enable on the gridview?

can you show the code where you are binding the data of that gridview?

You can also try the ajaxcontroltoolkit for alert boxes

Hmm.. that should be quite simple.

you have to find the control by the ID in the page.. I think this should work:
for (int i = 0; i < a; i++)
{
DropDownList d = (DropDownList)this.Page.FindControl("Text" + i);
value = d.SelectedValue.ToString();

            SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection("Data Source=ABC-0D30299B90A;Initial Catalog=IT;Integrated Security=True");

            con.Open();

            SqlCommand cmd1 = new SqlCommand("insert into niitstud values('" + value + "')", con);

            cmd1.ExecuteNonQuery();
            con.Close();

        }
Imo, it could be the gridview losting its values on postback... but I agree with ckchaudhary, with only this code It's dificult to give you some help

can you post an example of what you want?

Where are you making que the bind of the GridView1?

Well... my first post has just been solved... I've forgot to include the row in the findcontrol... the code should be like this:
DropDownList ddlPersons = (DropDownList)gridview1.Rows[0].FindControl("ddlPersons"); // of course, that the number inside the Rows[] is the row index
Hope that this could be useful to someone :)

Hi guys,

I'm having some trouble finding a control... that is because this control is on gridview witch is inside repeater (let's call it rpt1) and this repeater is inside another repeater (this one, rpt2).. I have an ItemCommand on rpt1 witch I need to catch a dropdownlist item value that is created as an item template inside the gridview... but just can't find it..

I have tryed something like this:
DropDownList ddlPersons = (DropDownList)e.item.FindControl("ddlPersons");
and also even this:
DropDownList ddlPersons = (DropDownList)this.Page.FindControl("ddlPersons");
But no luck with both ways.. does anyone knows how can I find my control?

Cheers
