I am facing quite the predicament. The computer I am currently using will not boot because, as the title says, there is "no boot device found." When I check the BIOS settings, however, the HDD is recognized under the "Drives" menu. The only problem is that it is not recognized in the list of boot devices. I have tried to change settings, but there is an unknown Administrator password in place. I tried removing the CMOS battery, messing with the jumper, etc. all to no avail. This computer has had a problem with an HDD before. When I first came …

I have a troubling problem. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 that seems to be compromising my wireless network at home. It is running Windows XP with SP3 and it can connect to the network. However, whenever I try to download anything, or click a link, all computers connected to the network are disconnected. (Including the Dell) It is using a Rosewill RNX-G300LX PCI wireless card. I have no clue what the problem is. The card behaves fine in every computer it will fit in other than this specific one. Any suggestions?

I have a problem with this simple Win32 application I am trying to make. As you can tell by the title, the function CreateWindow() always returns 0, which indicates failure. Here is my code. [CODE] int MessageLoop() { MSG msg; ZeroMemory(&msg, sizeof(MSG)); while (GetMessage(&msg, 0, 0, 0)) { TranslateMessage(&msg); DispatchMessage(&msg); } return msg.wParam; } INT WINAPI WinMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpCmdLine, int nShowCmd) { if (!MakeAWindow(hInstance, nShowCmd)) { MessageBox(0, "Window Creation -- Failed", "Error", MB_OK); return 0; } return MessageLoop(); } bool MakeAWindow(HINSTANCE appInstance,int show) { WNDCLASS wc; wc.style = CS_HREDRAW | CS_VREDRAW; wc.lpfnWndProc = WndProc; wc.cbClsExtra = 0; …

I have a 2WIRE router supplied by AT&T that I have been having problems with. I can connect to the internet with an Ethernet cable, but not wirelessly. Every LED light is on and green besides the wireless light. I have tried power cycling it, and that didn't solve anything. I'm fairly sure the connection type is set to PPPoE. It is plugged into DSL without one of the splitters supplied by AT&T. I am at a loss, does anybody have some suggestions?

Hi everybody! This is my very first post, so bear with me. Anyways, as the title says, I'm having problems formatting my slave hard drive. It's a 60-Gb Seagate U series 7 that my friend gave me. It shows up in BIOS and My computer and Disk Management just fine. Under Disk Management, it's apparently "Healthy", but there is no file system. When I try to format it, it will start, and then take about two days to finish. Afterwards, I reboot, and IT'S NOT FORMATTED! I've tried this twice now, with no luck. Any suggestions? Sorry this was so …
