I have a problem with a script that I bought. I'm trying to put the files in a different directory (different from the original) and for some reason I receive an error message saying; ” File(../../poll/Poll.php) is not within the allowed path(s)”.

I've received this answer from the programmer of the script:

"Place a file test.php in your Poll directory with the following code:

[CODE]<?php echo dirname(FILE); ?>[/CODE]

Call this file from your browser, and that path that is shown is the absolute path to the Poll directory."

I'm unsure what he means by "call the file from my browser" but jumped to the conclusion that it meant accessing the file from the browser. When I do so there's nothing shown; path or anything.

I've recently started to use divs instead of tables and unfortunately I've got stuck.

I'm trying to use the following code (the images you see is used as corners):

[CODE]

[/CODE]

For some reason I can see a open white space at the very bottom, between the left and right corner.

How can I fix this?

I also would like to know if anyone knows how to easy create divs as part of a webpage, in Dreamweaver or in another program?

Thanks

I don't know if this is the right forum for this issue, but I will give it a try anyway.

We have two computers laptops in our house, one that's pretty new and another one that's a few years old.

I few weeks ago, god knows what caused it, the wireless connection on the old computer stopped to work. I've tried to do some basic troubleshooting myself, but haven't managed to solve the problem.

I use an external network card (Philips SNN6500) and they have something called "Philips Wireless Network Manager" but I've only used the usual Window XP "Connect to a network". For some reason I can't find any network at all in this, it just says "It's not possible to configurate this wireless connection".

And Philips own program doesn't seem to have any part where I can connect to a network.

I don't know how much sense this makes to anyone of you.

The strange thing is that there no problem on the other computer, and I can see all sorts of networs (even the next door neighbors).

I was more about looking for a ready script since it's probably quite difficult to make for a PHP newbie like myself.

You don't happen to know where I could find such a script?

Everything I upload through my FTP account looks like it has been enlarged (or zoomed in) about 5% (105%) of the original size of the document (html) when I view it in my browser. When I look at the same html-page offline through the same browser directly from my desktop it's in the correct size (100%).

According to my host provider the cause of it probably lies in my FTP programs settings.

I've looked around the settings but I can't find anything that can refer to something like this. I use FTP Surfer.

Anyone that has had the same problem or know how to solve it?

Thanks.

I try to find a scroller that is built in Ajax which makes it possible to scroll a part of a table/div (vertical).

Ex: You have two text areas; "A" and "B", when you press "down" it smoothly shows another text area ("C") and "A" disappears and "B" replace it, etc.

Dont know how to explain it better. Hope it makes some sense to someone.

Thanks...

Thanks.

I tried to use your script and changed "whatever.image" to the image I'd like to use, but somehow it doesn't work.

I can only see the "bla bla bla" on the website, nothing happens when I have the mouse over the text, etc.

[CODE]

bla bla bla
<element class='thisclass'>bla bla bla</element>
bla bla bla

[/CODE]

Im trying to create a one mouse over effect that will show a background when the mouse is over an table column.

Anyone that knows how this can be done?

Thanks.

I don't know if this is the right forum for this question ..

I have a script that is written in PHP and in the middle of this:

[CODE]Click[/CODE]

This is supposed to make a form show by a click on the link [I]"Click"[/I].

What I want to do is to have this form directly on the page (I guess it's the "#main\" part) without the Link / form_visible();\ part.

Heh.. yeah, it's happend to be before as well... almost embarrassing that I never seem to learn.. :S

Thanks, I will take a look at it..

I searched around for it on Google and actually managed to find a fully programmed script but unfortunately I closed down my web browser without boookmarking the page and when I now try to search again for it I can't find anything.. :S

thanks for your reply..

it doesnt really matter..

This is what I'm looking for; [url]http://www.coolwebpoll.com/[/url] but I need it without the ad stuff..

Hi,

I was looking for a poll script (php/ajax) that does not reload when adding a vote.

I've tried to search around for it but haven't found one that suits my needs. Anyone that knows where I can find such a script?

Thanks,

Robin

Hmm... Didnt make much sense to me. :S

No one that knows?

I'm trying to enable GD Library. I use PHPMyAdmin.

How can I do this?

I'm trying to follow this tutorial; [url]http://www.pixel2life.com/viewtutorial/41202/globe_create_a_very_cool_cartoonish_shiny_globe_icon_in_minutes/[/url]

For some reason, after having created a circle with the Ellipse Tool, [B]'Layer Style'[/B] (Layer - Layer Style) is greyed out. What could be the cause of this?

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.

What part of the code would you like to see? I can post parts of it here to you.

I just bought this script; [url]http://www.scriptsez.net/index.php?action=details&cat=Reviews+and+Ratings&id=2519672139[/url]

You can see a demo of the script here: [url]http://www.scriptsez.com/ez_comment/demo.html[/url]

I'd like to create an 'average' of the total votes for each review/comments. Is this possible to do in an easy way?

I would also like to create a top 10 list based upon these averages. How can this be done?

Thanks in regards.

Just wanted to say that I got it right now.. finally. :) Thanks for all the help.

Have tried this numerous times no with no success.

Dont know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm still struggling with this problem... no one that might know where I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

I've until now created all my webpages in tables but have recently been thinking about starting to use divs instead.

I've been thinking about trying to convert one of my ccurrent projects (from tables) to divs - anyone that happen to know some smart way to do this (without writing all the code again from the beginning)?

The shadow image (shadow.png - Yes, it's created in Photoshop. I've also tried with a .jpg image) is 966px wide and this is the code I use:

[CODE]

Test

[/CODE]

Unfortunately the same problem occur; I can only see my main background (main.jpg), no shadow (shadow.png) what so ever is visible in the page - but I can see the div (10 px on each side) on the side in my HTML Editor (Dreamweaver), so the problem can't be there. Must be something wrong in one of the three parts of the CSS.

There's also another problem - the main background (main.jpg) is not shown from top to bottom, only half way. If I use normal HTML code (<body background, etc) there's no problem.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Robin

[CODE]

Test

[/CODE]

Would be too long to post the entire code so I deleted the content and only kept the parts that's relevant.

I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong but I can manage to get it to work.

I've followed what you've written and I can see in my HTML editor (Dreamweaver) that there has been a div created around it and my main background is also added in correctly, but unfortunately the "shadow.png" part doesn't show (only the div where it's supposed to be).

I've tried som trail and error by changing the size of the picture, unfortunately I'm stuck. :(

Thanks for all the help so far..

Thank you.

The only problem is that I use a background (image) as my main background, not a color.

Is it possible to use 'two backgrounds' in a similar way?
