Hi again Yzk. It is a little under the weather. Have a look in add/remove programs for Bargain Buddy & uninstall it, if found. If not, please do the following:

Update hijackthis to version 1.98.2. Run hijackthis & go to *Config\Misc Tools\Check for update on-line*. If the site is down, go here. Remove the old version by deleting the file manually. Unzip the new version into the hijackthis folder.

Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked':

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DeskMateAutoUpdate] E:\PROGRA~1\DESKMA~1\DeskMateAutoUpdate.exe

-Blazefind Windupdates Adware

Then delete the Deskmate folder.

Thanks for your help, Crunchie. As you can see some of my room mates have been busy. now lets see what is going on the follow up! And Crunchie do take your time. If things are a bit under the weather, like my roommates would say. Relax :cool: btw the other one would say OMG OMG OMG!! :eek:

and what about the 010 - broken internet access because of missing xfire_lsp.dll?

Xfire messenger brings that up all the time, so chill out dude & relax 'cos it's all good :).

Alright, I'm chillin' :cool: like check out my shades and stuff ;)

Excuse me for double-posting.. I've just ran a check-up with spybot (newest version), somehow it always finds the same DSO exploit (2). However Ad-aware SE says that it finds nothing. I'll show you the report:

DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1708537768-842925246-1060284298-1002\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004!=W=3

DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004!=W=3

It seems to have something to do with internet zones, however I have no knowledge of this area. :o so, its just a question. What does this one mean?

Edit: As always when I try to fix it, one just clears and the other one needs a reboot.

and yes lol, I am paranoid *poing!*:eek:

Spybot has an error regarding this. If all your microsoft updates are installed, you are ok. Set Spybot to ignore it.

okay, I've done it. Thanks again Crunchie, your a good guy.

You're welcome :) . Marking this as solved. Anyone else with the same problem, please start your own thread. Thank you.
