I disagree, of course. Quality is paramount even when doing incremental releases. The increments refer to feature sets, not bug fixes.

Would you buy a car, if you knew that the "quality" was just the coat of paint applied at the last step in production?

Quality is built in to the product from the beginning, not some afterthought applied right at the end.

If your customer hunts you down and shoots you after receiving the first increment, you don't get to write future increments.
