help installing vbulletin

Is the mysql server located on the same server as the site? Also if you could post your config.php file here but make sure and take out the username and password fields.

Ok I see your problem.... since you are using Cpanel your mysql server is probably the same server as your web server so change:

$servername = 'http://willpull22.remnetworks.com:2082';
to
$servername = 'localhost';

Now if you were on a cluster system and your mysql server was seperate from your web server then it would look likt this:

$servername = 'mysql.yourmysqlserver.com';

but do i need to setup another mysql database or will the install do it for me.

it didnt work
can i trust you enough to grant you access to my files and do it for me.

i could i also setup a database through the microsoft sql server i have on my computer. As you can see i have a subdomain and a person here (bluzman32) is letting my site be hosted for free on his. I also have postgres sql.

when installing vbulletin this error message comes up
