I am a new convert to MySQL. It sounds like an answer to my prayers, BUT when I look for some training I find the cost to be substantial. I have purchased a book Beginning MYSQL by WROX but I now realize that I need some more structured training.

I have 4.1 loaded on my laptop and I have a sample Access database that I need to transfer to MySQL. The book is helpful, but I would like some structured training. Being retired I cannot afford the current prices that is charged per day for courses advertised.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a more inexpensive means of obtaining MySQL training. I need the Beginner and Developer type courses.

Well the reference Manual on the MySQL site is a pretty good place to start learning MySQL.
