Hi,i am looking for a light relational database server with the ability to recover after a crash.I am not looking for sqlite or any other single file db system.

Jump to PostMySQL is very popular. But I don't know what you mean by "light". Its either SQL compliant or it isn't. I also don't know about its ability to recover after a crash. Since its so popular I can only assum that it can do it.
