I am a sutdent of SVGCC and i am writing a simple encryption code but I am lost on how to start. I know i have to use i/O files to open the code but i cannot find on the net a way to edit the information to aid me anywhere. Does anyone have any tips on how to write my code.

Start with pencil and paper. Write down what you know, write down what you need to do to what you know.
Sketch out your program's main aspects. Input - Processing - Output.
Take it in manageable bites. Don't think you can sit down at the keyboard and just bang it all out at once.
Once you've written some code, and come upon a roadblock, post the code here with a description of what you think it should do, and what it's actually doing.
