I use this software called "LSmaker" but it has some glitches but I don't know python and that is what it is programmed in. The quirks that I found are; 1. When you export the animated file the same and another file in the folder lsmaker corrupts the file. 2. When you use the mask tool on a new frame you have to draw a mask before it will turn to the next frame.

Well, i don't see any source code to look at or edit when i downloaded it and opened it up with Winrar. But thats reverse engineering, and i suggest you learn some python to assess the glitches in the program and understand the code and how to fix it.
