Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone is interesting in starting a new forum for using ACE? I am new to both ACE and network programming using C++.

Thanks!

I too have just started learning about ACE, and am having a bit of a hard time trying to find information from various sources on the subject.

I would like to see a forum started as well.

I found some really useful interactive documentation here:

http://www.dre.vanderbilt.edu/Doxygen/Current/html/ace/

It's Doxygen driven and completely interactive, if you need a good way to look up information on a specific class, method, etc. I also ran across a useful tutorial at: http://www.huihoo.org/ace_tao/ACE-5.2+TAO-1.2/ACE_wrappers/docs/tutorials/001/page01.html

Finally, the blue ACE book, “The Ace Programmer’s Guide by Stephen D. Huston et al. 2004, ISBN 0-201-69971-0 is the best overall book I've used to get started.

Not that I know what I'm doing, but at least I can look busy... :cheesy:

Hi there! I'm rather new to ACE itself, and would like to see a thread on ACE. I thought POSA2 (http://www.cs.wustl.edu/~schmidt/POSA/) is a good book to read to get the overall concept without getting into too much code.
