OK guys, in regards to my last thread, I've decided to give PIL a shot. Trouble is, the setup instructions are as clear as mud. I've got the files downloaded and extracted, but that's as far as I've been able to get. Can someone, IN PLAIN ENGLISH, walk me through the remaining steps or redirect me to a website that would do so?

If you have a Windows machine and Python26, simply download and install:
PIL-1.1.7.win32-py2.6.exe

I've already downloaded it. What I need help with is the installation and setup.

Simply run PIL-1.1.7.win32-py2.6.exe it installs itself.

But I have 2.5.1. And I tried downloading its file, but it gave an error message upon installation and wouldn't install.

Plus, I need to get this on another computer that is a Mac. And I'm running out of time.

What exactly could be causing that?

Are you sure you have Python 2.5?
Maybe try running installer as Administrator?

Or perhaps install Python 2.6 and install the python 2.6 version of PIL

Alright, I'll try that and report back.

Done.

Now I just need a hand with getting it to work with Python. Once I do that, I'll be good to go.
