Hi !
I want to get a jdbc DataSource through JNDI. I am rather new to JNDI, and I dont know servlets, etc. Whatever tutorials I find on the internet show how to do this using some server like tomcat, etc. I want to make a simple jdbc program in which I get the datasource transparently (without hardcoding driver class, or url, etc.) using jndi and I dont want to run it on an application server.
Is there a way to do this ?
Also, do I have to install some naming service like LDAP ? Is there no "default" naming service already installed with windows or with jdk ?
Thank you in advance !
