I have finish coding some of my Payroll Program modules.
But im having a problem on the log-in.

I would like the log-in to determine the type of the user logging in, a User or Admin
(Level Access of course).

If it is a User, all command buttons in every form will be disable, only cmdExit is enabled.

While for Admin, as assual, all is accessible.
Of course, the type still based on my DBASE Recordset (UserType Column)

I really dont know where or how to start the code.
Any ideas..?

Thanks in advance

This function will determine whether or not a thread is running in the user context
of the local Administrator account, you need to examine the access token associated
with that thread using the GetTokenInformation() API, since this access token
represents the user under which the thread is running. By default the token
associated with a thread is that of its containing process, but this user context
will be superceded by any token attached directly to the thread. So to determine a
threads user context, first attempt to obtain any token attached directly to the
thread with OpenThreadToken(). If this fails, and it reports an ERROR_NO_TOKEN,
then obtain the token of the threads containing process with OpenProcessToken().

This code requires one form and one module

End Sub

I'm not sure if this works in Vista and win7. Had no chance on testing their yet.

:-O Some of the codes are kinda new for me..

Uhm i'll try to figure out how to make this work for my program sir..

Thanks anyway, i'll come back at you if i have further needs

:$

Im using Windows XP SP2

It was a pleasure.

Most of the code in the module is to access your security on the system. It then determines what privilege you have by being an administrator or normal user.

All you have to do is to adjust your code in the form load event. Let it do what it needs to if an administrator or user.
