The classpath is a valid attribute.

Where is the line with the classpath= ???

You need to find an HTML reference. Your attributes are incorrectly used.

It would rather destroy the point of the policy file if you could change it from anything you download! Signing the applet is the normal solution.

I managed to sign my jar. Now I am having trouble running it. It game me this error when I replaced my Program.class with Program.jar, and then added in a classpath="Program.jar" into the html code

better would be reads (in english language) Andrew Thompson, I can't founf rellated posts on OTN and here too, but he always suggesting use Web Start instead of embeded or SandBoxes JApplet (maybe by OP's is here only Applet, that will never runs with services on Java1.6_026)

Hi mKorbel - I looked at the links you provided, but I still don't understand what changed in 1.6_25. Can you help explain what happened with that release please?- as a point.point release it should not break anything.
I understand that Web Start is an upgrade path for Applets, but the OP is following a course of study that is pre-defined. Judging by some of the other posts here on DaniWeb he will be lucky if his course materials have been updated for the language changes in 1.5!

My course was Java 1.4 and I have finished it. I am now doing this for fun. The classpath is a valid attribute. I have 2 jars involved. one is my jar that is signed and holding the class that is my program. The second one is the mail.jar api that I downloaded that will send the email.
