Is it possible to place a VB6 application working on Windows Azure and share it among several clients? If so, how?

Do you mean sharing the data? Having several clients running the same app doing calculations? Are the capabilities you want already present in your app, but you need to leverage Azure?

What type of app is it? Does it connect to a database? Does it use local files?

It connects to an MS Access database, that can be hosted on the application path.
The application is writen in VB6 and uses several windows and user .dlls
It also uses some external software tools that have to be previously installed (for printing and image handling)
