I have included my code so you can see thanks in advanced.

<?php

$shopcatid = $_GET['id'];
$shopsubcatid = $_GET['s'];

	// How many adjacent pages should be shown on each side?
	$adjacents = 3;

	/*
	   First get total number of rows in data table.
	   If you have a WHERE clause in your query, make sure you mirror it here.
	*/
	$query = "SELECT COUNT(*) as num FROM shopcatid = '" . $shopcatid . "' AND shopsubcatid = '" . $shopsubcatid . "'";
	$total_pages = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query($query));
	$total_pages = $total_pages[num];

	/* Setup vars for query. */
	$targetpage = "sub-category.php"; //your file name (the name of this file)
	$limit = 9; //how many items to show per page
	$page = $_GET['page'];
	if($page)
		$start = ($page - 1) * $limit; 			//first item to display on this page
	else
		$start = 0; //if no page var is given, set start to 0

	/* Get data. */
	$query = "SELECT * FROM shop_products WHERE shopcatid = '" . $shopcatid . "' AND shopsubcatid = '" . $shopsubcatid . "' LIMIT $start, $limit";
	$result = mysql_query($query) or die( "An error has occured: " .mysql_error (). ":" .mysql_errno ());

	/* Setup page vars for display. */
	if ($page == 0) $page = 1;					//if no page var is given, default to 1.
	$prev = $page - 1;							//previous page is page - 1
	$next = $page + 1;							//next page is page + 1
	$lastpage = ceil($total_pages/$limit);		//lastpage is = total pages / items per page, rounded up.
	$lpm1 = $lastpage - 1;						//last page minus 1

	/*
		Now we apply our rules and draw the pagination object.
		We're actually saving the code to a variable in case we want to draw it more than once.

So with which bit do you need help. Dumping a bag of code and then saying "it doesn't work" ain't enough. Where does it go wrong? Have you put in a bunch of temporary echoes to watch the values of variables?

Pls. make it more clear

Try changing

$query = "SELECT COUNT(*) as num FROM shopcatid = '" . $shopcatid . "' AND shopsubcatid = '" . $shopsubcatid . "'";
$total_pages = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query($query));
$total_pages = $total_pages[num];

to this

$query = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM shopcatid = '" . $shopcatid . "' AND shopsubcatid = '" . $shopsubcatid . "'";
$total_pages = mysql_fetch_row(mysql_query($query));
$total_pages = $total_pages[0];

Just my humble opinion, why not remove the entire pagination codes out of your codes and make it a function. This way your page is only left with the database query and the results.

Yes sorry perhaps you are correct people... when I click the link to the next page it does not show the next 9 products it appears to be just blank..
