I'm building a small web application that needs to display scheduled flight information. I'm trying to understand the best way to work with external aviation data rather than maintaining airline schedules manually.

The application would need information such as flight numbers, departure and arrival airports, scheduled departure and arrival times, and airline details.

I keep having this argument with a friend who runs a small sales team. He swears a shared spreadsheet is fine as long as everyone's disciplined about updating it. I think once you cross a certain number of people or leads, it just breaks down no matter how careful everyone is.

Where's the actual tipping point in your experience? Is it team size, number of active leads, or something else, like how many people touch a single deal before it closes?

Also curious what actually goes wrong first. Is it leads getting forgotten, follow-ups slipping, or just nobody having a clear picture of the pipeline until someone manually chases it down?

I don't know why it is so hard for tech companies to design good tech. Take my current (free) Rogers Xfinity camera. They tout it as being primarily used for the front door. According to the sales team here is how it works:

Someone rings the doorbell
See who it is on the camera
Use the 2-way audio to talk with them

In reality here's what happens:

Someone rings the doorbell
Find your smart phone
Unlock it
Switch to the Xfinity app
Re-login to the app because it randomly logged you out
Select the camera
Watch them leave because you took too long to respond

What morons decided this was a good system?

I have the full ISP package from my provider, which is why I got the free cam. Because it is an integrated system you would think there would be a Windows app I could use to make/receive phone calls on my laptop. For me this would be ideal because I am hearing impaired and can stream audio to my hearing aids from my laptop. But even on a system controlled entirely by Rogers this cannot be done.

There was something called the Rogers Xfinity Web Portal which was a browser app, but this was discontinued several years ago. Using the portal I could have used my laptop to make/receive calls, monitor, control, and configure my home network, etc. Now I have to use the smartphone app which has a shittier interface and less functionality.
