Used to be very active under my favored nickname vegaseat, not 'seat' but 'eat'! Got tired of the arbitrary jolts from MS and Windows 11 and switched totally to LinuxMint. So here I am using python again! Installation of python3 and all its modules via
the Linux 'Software Manager' has been super easy. My problem right now is finding
the best IDE. I am using 'IDLE' of course, but am smitten with 'SublimeText' and
above all the 'Spyder' IDE. IDLE works reliably, but sophisticated SPYDER hangs up
on simple things like backslashes. SublimeText does not like the backslash character
and does not handle the python user input statement at all.

Has any Dani-Web member discovered how to solve these kind of headaches?
