I did code for challenge that I saw posted for C# by deceptikon: http://www.daniweb.com/software-development/csharp/threads/479304/coding-challenge-string-to-date Here it is. Of course normally the code would be without prints and put in function, but this is enough for now for me. There could also be normalization from '/' separated form not producing ambiguous form, checking for single digit month/day. Notice that reversed order of slice assignement is a must as well as variable holding the original length or that length's format!

I am currently doing a python challenge in which I have to create certain codes. I am stuck on a particularly hard question and would appreciate some help. The problem is: In 1989, a journalist asked Paul Boutin, an engineer at the Massachusetts Institue of Technology, "What do you think will be the biggest problem in computing in the 90s?" Paul replied: "There are only 17,000 three-letter acronyms." To be precise, there are 263 = 17,576. Write a program which takes in a TLA (a three letter abbreviation of the first letters of three words) and a line of text, …

Write a function estimatePi() to estimate and return the value of Pi based on the formula found by an Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. It should use a while loop to compute the terms of the summation until the last term is smaller than 1e-15. The formula for estimating Pi is given below: As per Ramanujam's estimation (I'm sorry, I'm unable to upload the image) def estimatePi(): import math def factorial(n): if n == 0: return 1 else: return n * factorial(n-1) k=0 final=0 pi=0 while pi<1e-15: a=factorial(4*k) b=(1103+26390*k) c=factorial(k) d=c**4 e=396**(4*k) f=2*math.sqrt(2)/9801 final+=(a*b*f)/(d*e) k+=1 pi=1/final return pi and, my problem …

In the pencil-and-paper game, Tic-tac-toe, 2 players take turns to mark 'X' and 'O' on a board of 3x3 squares. The player who succeeds in marking 3 successive 'X' or 'O' in vertical, horizontal or diagonal stripe wins the game. Write a function that determines the outcome of a tic-tac-toe game. Examples >>> tictactoe([('X', ' ', 'O'), (' ', 'O', 'O'), ('X', 'X', 'X') ]) "'X' wins (horizontal)." >>> tictactoe([('X', 'O', 'X'), ... ('O', 'X', 'O'), ... Ok, so im trying to make my sister a flashcards program with dev c++. What you do is put in the deck name and how many cards you want. Then you go through for each card and put in what's on the front and back. I also want it so you can go back in later and access that deck again. I also want it to have graphics and text input boxes, not the boring black box. It would be grand if you could give me a very rough block of code for it. Thanks!

Is there any ways to allow the text box in a report to show the lastest date from the database? For example: 24/2/2007 15/4/2009 21/6/2009 14/7/2010 13/10/2010 i want the text box to have 13/10/2010, which is the lastest date out of the 5 date(which I have more in my database).

I am having an extremely difficult time with this programming challenge I have to do. I have no idea where to begin on this. I am a beginning programmer (obvious I know), and here are my instructions for the challenge: [b] "Write a class EncryptableString that is derived from the STL string class. The EncryptableString class adds a member function void encrypt( ) That encrypts the string contained in the object by replacing each letter with its successor in the ASCII ordering. For example, the string baa would be encrypted to cbb. Assume that all characters that are part of …
