So, i want to display data from a table in my db (Mysql), i click the buttonto get the data, it sends request via Ajax and Ajax calls getdata.php file. The table which is supposed to return the data returns in everyfield the written code like "$head" and "$value". I suppose it's the db connection isn't it? Here is the connect.php <?php $db = mysql_connect("localhost", "root",""); mysql_select_db("agenda",$db) or die(mysql_error() . ": " . mysql_error() . "<br>"); ?> and this is the getdat.php <?php include('connect.php'); //Query of facebook database $kontakte = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM kontakte') or die(mysql_error()); //Output results if(!$kontakte) { …

Whenever I try to connect to my website over my network (from any device), my browser gives me an error saying that it could not connect to the host. I've tried a proxy, as well as downorjustme, and it works fine. I've recently performed some database work, nothing too important, but between the last time I could access my site and now, I haven't altered anything, except dropping all my tables and erasing my databases after finding out that my site was experiencing downtime, although, as I mentioned before, only on my network. My site's still experiencing that same problem, …

Hi. I'm trying to create a function which connects to a database, and then displays rows in it. I'm trying to use a function to connect, but it's not working. Here's my first code:
<?php define("SERVER", "mysql.example.com"); define("USERNAME", "username"); define("PASSWORD", "********"); define("DATABASE", "db"); function displayFunction() { $dbc = @mysqli_connect(SERVER, USERNAME, PASSWORD, DATABASE); $query = "SELECT * FROM table"; $result = @mysqli_query($dbc, $query); while($row = @mysqli_fetch_array($result)) { return $row['row']; } } echo displayFunction(); ?>
That works. However this code:
<?php define("SERVER", "mysql.example.com"); define("USERNAME", "username"); define("PASSWORD", "********"); define("DATABASE", "db"); function connect() { $dbc = @mysqli_connect(SERVER, USERNAME, PASSWORD, DATABASE); if(!$dbc) { return false; …

Title: WinSock connect() problem. Client thinks it is connected even when Server is down As of right now, my program incorrectly displays the status of the connecting socket. Because of the if statements seen below, even when the server is down, my friends can access a part of the program which should only be available when successfully connected to the server. On the client, they are accessing an input (which lets them send a message to the server) even when they are not connected to the server, where the program should have normally told them they failed to connect and …
