There are rumors that iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 (whatever it will be called) will be introduced in a number of colors, with big size, excellent 12 MP camera, thumb impression detection for security and will be a bit bigger in size. What will be your favourite feature among these new inclusions?

What are some features that are essential in an online photo management system ? I have already implemented the following: ~Uploading a photo plus adding general info like a title and description ; ~Tags(Multiple) ; ~Approval/Discarding/Editing of uploaded photos by an Administrator ; ~Certain Admin tasks like adding/removing/editing tags ; ~Log number of views(just based on IP Addresses, with 30 minute cookie expiry) ~Track likes on a photo(Mapped a like to a user) What more features are necessary ~in general(Guest) ? ~for the Admin ~for a registered user Any feedback is appreciated! :)

I'm interested in the HTC One. It is reported to have a 'hard to damage' polycarbonate case and seems to have great user reviews. My issue is with AT&T selling this phone for $549.00 without contract (* $199.00 with a 2 Year - which I do not want!*) when it appears to be the same as the HTC Google Nexus One phone which is selling online for much less. After a little research I found the HTC One and the Google Nexus both came out at the same time in 2010. Google was selling this phone direct to customers for …

Since the overhaul, there are some nice feature of the old system that are missing in the thread titles. By thread titles, I mean as they show up in the forum listings (the icon (new, read, etc.), title, # of replies, time of last post, etc.). Some of the features of the old system that I have in mind are the following: * When hovering over the title, the first few lines of the question used to appear. Now, there's nothing. * The number of up-votes / down-votes associated to the OP used to appear on the right of the …

I'm looking at using the Deactivate feature of Facebook to temporarily close my account down, without actually deleting it as I wish to come back to it in the future. I'm not sure what it exactly does, as in permanently delete it, temporarily close it or just leave your account idle and others can still see it/search/post/.etc . Is there a better option? Also, are there any alternatives to Facebook? I've heard of some but not sure which is good. Thanks in advance :D

I'm sure many of you know how visual studio supports "outlining", it's where a block of code becomes collapsible and it can be expanded or collapsed by the plus sign on the left. Often times those seeking help feel it necessary to dump about 3-4 files into a thread and expect to get help, obviously I don't like skipping over 3-4 files of what may be entirely irrelevant, and the process would be much smoother with a feature similar to "outlining". It would likely be much appreciated among the Daniweb community, so if you want outlining but don't want to …

There's a lot of buzz on the Internet today about some "leaked" Microsoft slides concerning Windows 8. But, like the Computerworld article on the subject says, you shouldn't get excited about anything in those leaked slides. You're likely to end up disappointed. If any of you can remember back to 1994, when Windows 95 beta versions were out, there were some awesome options available that never made it into the operating system (OS). In fact, some of them have never made it into any Windows operating system. Every new iteration of a Windows operating system brings out the wishers and …

Hello, I'm trying to develop a small image viewer just as an exercise to sharpen my programming skills. So far , all the features that I could think of adding to it are zooming in and out, inverting the colors of the image, resizing, and rotation. Could anyone suggest me a few more features?? You are also welcome to suggest anything which has not been implemented yet. I would like to take it as a challenge. Thanks.

With the price of Windows 7 topping out at US$320, Microsoft will be handing shoppers less cash at the end of its "I'm a PC" commercials. Price advantages of Windows-laptops over those from Apple evaporated further today as Microsoft's latest operating system hit store shelves and OEM factories. In typical Microsoft fashion, there are six versions of Windows 7, something for everyone at every price point. All but the Starter Edition support 32- and 64-bit architectures. At $320 are the feature-identical Ultimate and Enterprise Editions. Both are available at retail and pre-installed through OEMs; volume pricing is available for Enterprise. …
