I am looking at http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/jsref_replace.asp and the specific example at: http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/tryit.asp?filename=tryjsref_replace3 var str="Mr Blue has a blue house and a blue car"; var n=str.replace(/blue/gi, "red"); And the result of N would be: Mr red has a red house and a red car I want the result to be: Mr Red has a red house and a red car With the first-replaced occurance to be capitalized like the original text to be replaced. Is there a way to do this?

Hi everyone! I haven't seen this question here, so I'll give it a try. I'm from a country where some words have accents, like *MarĂa*. I have all this words in a database and I would like to use the Select function from a DataTable but ignoring accents in the database. I know this may be not possible; if it's not, it really should be implemented. Thanks in advance! This is my current code: dataTable.DefaultView.RowFilter = string.IsNullOrEmpty(text) ? string.Empty : string.Format("{0} LIKE '%{1}%'", field, text);
