My friend has a Gateway FX laptop or something with Vista. The right speaker stopped working (i checked all the balance settings). I've searched around for how to change the output from stereo to mono, but they all say the same thing; set it to mono (laptop output) in the sound settings. This laptop has no mono option, only 2-channel stereo. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I am having some trouble compiling what I believe to be unmanaged code (output from monodis) back into C# for analysis. What is the correct procedure or program to use for this? Thanks. PS. I don’t know whether it would help at all, but the output begins like this:
.assembly extern mscorlib { .ver 2:0:0:0 .publickeytoken = (B7 7A 5C 56 19 34 E0 89 ) // .z\V.4.. } .assembly extern System.Windows.Forms { .ver 2:0:0:0 .publickeytoken = (B7 7A 5C 56 19 34 E0 89 ) // .z\V.4.. } .assembly extern System { .ver 2:0:0:0 .publickeytoken = …

Today, Tuesday November 10, 2009, Novell announces a Visual Studio plugin that allows support for non-Microsoft operating systems that use .NET code development on a platform known as Mono via a new product called Mono Tools for Visual Studio 1.0. Of course, compared to the exorbitant price of Visual Studio, that's a mere pittance. If you can afford Mono Tools, it's a powerful addition to your Visual Studio environment. Using Mono Tools, you can create and test your .NET applications …

News Story Linux Has Mono

Today the Mono Project released the much-anticipated Mono 2.0 for Linux. After two-and-a-half years in development, Mono 2.0 is finally here and ready to run your .NET 2.0 applications, Windows Forms, ASP.NET content on Mac OS X, BSD and Linux. Mono is multi-language capable--choose your own path from C#, VB, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, Eiffel, F#, Oxygene and more.
Mono is a cross-platform, open source .NET development framework.
Now the question is, why? Why would anyone want to use .NET for anything if you're still using PHP, Python, Java, etc. for development? Mostly it's because Miguel de Icaza, the Mono …
