Hi all, I had a little problem when deploying an application having crystal reports as a reporting tool on a client pc. It works so well in my dev pc even installed.Since i'm using Access 2007 i used Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider. I haven't provided any password or username for the database.But it keeps asking to provide a user name and a password. Hello! I have a remote database that will be accessed through a client program. The thing is, I want the client to auto detect the IP Address of the machine where the database is located, so that when I initialize the value of my connection string it would be like this:
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=\\AutoDetectedIpAddress\folder\myDatabase.mdb;User Id=admin;Password=;
In that way, the client program will automatically connect to the remote database whatever the IP Address of the machine where the remote database is. I don't have any clue to do this so, I'm asking for your help guys. Thanks in advance!

I know how you can send text messages through PHP like you send an email (explenation: Sending a Text Message (SMS) with PHP and more info: How to Send Free Text Messages Using PHP) but the person has to give their cell phone provider (ex: Sprint, AT&T, Verizon). I want to know if there is a way to have people input their cell phone number for a text to be sent without requiring their provider. Thanks

Does anybody know how I would use sockets to tap into the SMS protocol for sending+receiving SMS messages. Basically, all I want to be able to do is setup a php script that will be able to act as the SMS server and send+receive the SMS's directly through the SMS network. But I don't want to send it to an sms provider as I'm trying to make my script the sms provider. Does anybody know how to do this because I don't even know how the sms protocol works.
