Hello fellow Daniweb members! Really this forum can't be what it is without you guy's... Just a quick question, can you incorporate the windows file explorer in a C++ application to save and open to a chosen file path? I am asking because I have seen it in other app's and wondered whether it is possible? Thank you in advance! from helpfullprogrammer.

Ok, here's what I've got. I have a form that exports to an Excel worksheet (sheet1) and it works great, no issues there or anything. It's not a template, just a regular .xlsx spreadsheet, but I use it as my template. Now, the goal is for the end user to be able to fill out the form, and save it as todays date. How does it get todays date? In the Excel sheet, N2 is todays date, and it gets it from the form. Then save it in a specific folder. But this doesn't work, because VB (VB2010 in case …

Hi, I've been trying to capture video from webcam using openCV functions and openGL for rendering. The code is working fine and I can acquire and display both the cameras. Now I'm trying to record the captured video's and saving them to a file using openCV createvideowriter object. I can easily save the video into .avi format. However when I try to save/write both the videos from both camera's then the video is saved from first cam properly but not from second. I then started looking for using threads. I haven't used threads before and even after going thru articles …

Hi, I'm a complete noob to C++. I am currently just making text games where you input a string and depending what that string is and what you have in your "inventory", the program will cout something else. I would like to know how i would be able to save a value, like the intiger "gun", with a value of lets say 1 to say that you have it in your possession. How would i save this value to a different folder that the program can later read? Like when the user types in "save", it saves all current values …

Hi, I am writing a program to store basic information such as name and address but i want to be able to store this information as a separate file. So for example i could fill out the Name as 'Mary' and then save this as an executable file which I could open and i would repeat the information i entered into it namely "Mary". I am still fairly inexperienced in C# so code would be useful.
