The following is an explanation of our rewards system. Does it make sense? How can I reword it to be clearer and more concise? (I'd like to send this out in an email to everyone and have it make sense.) > We get lots of traffic, and servers are expensive, so we're running a donation drive to meet our expenses. > > But, then we thought that it's you guys who make us who we are in the first place. So we want to return the favor. And that's how our Rewards Points system was born. > > Here's how …

I have a form with a dgv on it. The dgv has 1 column defined as a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn. I would like this dgv to behave as a radiobutton group, i.e. when I click on one cell, that should be set to true, and the others to false. I've got it to work fine ... as long as the user does not click twice on the same cell. When that happens, none of the checkboxes are set. It seems that after I assign the values in the for each loop, the current event is still executed (i.e. the current checkbox is …

Hello again! I want to know what the best way to approach understanding how an application works is. I have a game that is highly moddable with Lua and I would actually like to do that. The problem is I don't know how to make sense of it all. There are maybe a hundred to 150 lua files to sift through. Besides using the "find in files" feature in most scripting applications how else could I find out how everything or just a few pieces of it work? If I wanted to do just a few small mods what would …

I'm setting up my home network right now using one base router/modem which is able to send 5 and 2.4 simultaneously. My repeater is able to do the same, however it can only connect to the base through one of them. The signal strength at the position of the repeater is 80% for 2.4ghz and 60% for 5.0ghz. Normally, I would go for 5.0ghz. But which would make more sense in this situation?

Hi all, I really hope that someone can help. I work in a number of primary schools and one of them have several digital display screens around the school. What I am looking for is a piece of free software that displays 'dynamically' all photos placed within a designated folder. So if new photos are added to the folder while the slideshow is running, the slideshow 'auto updates' itself to show the new photos. Likewise, if photos are deleted from the folder, these are not shown anymore. The folder will be shared so that designated staff can add/delete photos. Hope …

I'm in the process of creating the following; when a class anchor is clicked, it triggers an ID that is scaled which was hidden before the anchor was clicked with a little bounce before it rests into place, I hope that made sense ? Here is what I have so far; $(document).ready(function() { .click('.reachme a') }

You cannot determine whether a ctor is being called on an object that is to become const. Such as: const Foo bar( another_foo ); // no way to determine in the ctor that bar will be const I'd like some sort of function attribute for copy constructors to determine if \*this is being constructed as const. Particularly for clases that share pointers to resources. A const ctor would make perfect sense if it were feasible to be implemented into the standard in this way. we shouldn't have to create whole new classes for this kind of functionality, such as with …

I was to attend a recent event in NYC that was to be the introduction of a new online community in the US. The company, similar to DaniWeb, has been around for 10 years. Unlike DaniWeb, they charge their community members a yearly fee. Because of a sudden death in my family I was unable to attend or have anyone else from my company attend in my place. I alerted the company and I knew that the lateness of my alerting them to my inability to attend would make it impossible for them to fill my spot. Although the event …
