I am struggling to create a Windows virtual display driver. ***What I want***: A driver that I can register as a service, so that I can add a virtual mointor to a windows computer when my program starts, i.e. the computer shows that there are two monitors attached, but there is only one phyiscal monitor. ***What I've tried***: I tried downloading the sample [Kernal Driver from Microsoft](http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowshardware/Kernel-mode-display-only-49adea58), but when I install it on my Windows 8 machine, it uninstalls my other video driver and only shows a single monitor. I don't think it installs correctly and hoses the computer. On …

The virtual desktop that we are trying to implement should stand unique among existing ones (like eyeOS) I want some suggestions regarding this. What improvisations/features can we add? please help me..

We are a Japan-Korea based software company that focuses heavily on virtualization technology and cloud system. We are currently looking for global partnerships to expand our marketing channel. Although we have strong sales channel in East Asia, we have limited knowledge and resources on other regions. Could anyone give us some idea on where to begin? Following link has some information on our company and products, they are mostly related to virtual technology and has been sold well in East Asia, more than 1,000 sites in Japan and more than 400 sites in Korea. SNIP If anyone, by any chance, …

Hey guys, I have a domain and sub domain set up using hosting services from data flame, the sub domain is set up as a physical sub domain. The sub domain hosts the CMS so I need to upload (product) images from there to the main domain. I spent a most of Friday on their live support trying to get them to set up a virtual directory from the sub domain to the main domain with no luck. In the end they moved all product images from the main domain to the sub domain and told me to reference the …

During runtime when a program asks for a memory block (say, by malloc()), its provided with a block of virtual addresses, say 0x10000000 to 0x1000A00 (for 32 bit). During the execution, other processes are incorporated into the main memory and pages 0x10000000-0x100000A0 are paged out. After some time, the program requests the page 0x10000000. Its incorporated back into the main memory (at the cost of some other page) but its assigned a new virtual address, but the program is oblivious of the new virtual address assigned to it and references the it using 0x10000000. How is this problem resolved ? …

while syntactically templates cannot be virtual functions, I wonder what approach to use when semantically this is what someone wants to do. for example, in my case I want to have a virtual function, because I'm using sub-classes while having a pointer to the base class, but I also want to use template functions, as the function I'm declaring has a parameter that I only know the concept of (iterator), but not the exact type. here's the code that I'd want to accomplish from a semantic perspective, but which is not possible as it would include virtual function templates. I …

Jon Jacobs has spent $100,000 on his own Virtual Nightclub, within Online Role-Playing game "Project Entropia". The winning bid for the space station he plans to use is currently being built within the game. Project Entropia, is a virtual world, with 236,000 players, who convert real cash to in-game dollars, to be spent in the virtual economy. Jon, aka Neverdie, will no doubt be looking to cash in on his purchase by charging for live shows. "I'm already in talks with some of the worlds biggest DJs about spinning live sets inside the nightclub," "Gamers want to be entertained while …
