Are there any strongswan experts here.... I'm just trying to get a Strongswan roadwarrior setup going that can be used from an android stock VPN client using IPSEC Xauth. (i've also tried from an IPAD with same user cert) With a cert based auth, you can identify the road warrior client by ID_DER_ASN1_DN on the cert or by a san name. So if the cert contains Peer ID is ID_DER_ASN1_DN: 'C=CH, O=strongswan, CN=MKpeer' The conf file for that conn should match that to rightid="C=CH, O=strongswan, CN=*" That's right out of the strongswan guide. But no matter what I try, I …

Before going on to tell how to get DD-WRT secured with VPN, it is important to determine whether your router is compatible with DD-WRT or not. Most commonly used wireless routers including Linksys, Cisco, D-Link, Verizon, Sitecom and TP-Link are DD-WRT compatible. Check out whether your router’s name appears in this compatibility list for DD-WRT. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices The following are the easy set up instructions for configuring a VPN on your DDWRT router. Service of course …

So i set up a L2TP/ipsec VPN server on my mac running 10.6.x. I can connect to the VPN from my LAN, but not from outside of it. This is from my HTC evo. I set up a VPN server using a virtual machine of 10.6.x Server, with the same results (can connect inside LAN, but not outside). Not that it makes any difference, but I can't connect either when I'm on my LAN but going outside my LAN and coming back (that is, the destination address isn't a local private address but rather my WAN IP address). I have …

Hi, I have an issue with VPN clients not being able to access the DNS server on our LAN when they dial in. To give a brief overview of our network:-
Clients connect over VPN using L2TP IPSec VPN to our Draytek router

DNS Server runs on a dedicated WIN2008 server and the Draytek dishes out this via DHCP to LAN hosts (successfully) and VPN clients (unsuccessfully)
When connected over VPN, a user cannot resolve any of the internal host names - some users are successful using FQDNs but my PC is in one of the …
