Hello I was recently searching google for a video a friend told me about. I found the video but was instructed to install a media codec to do view it. Bad idea I know but ever since then I have had an icon in my tray that changes from a circle with a line through it and a question make icon that resembles the help icon in the start menu. I have tried using AVG free and Spybot S&D but neither has solved the problem. The icon says virus alert when I move my mouse over it and every 30 seconds or so a thing comes up that says your computer is infected! critical system error and stuff to that effect and it advises me to go download some anti-malware programs to remove it. The page it likes to is spywarequake or spywareuptodate.com which is also my home page no matter how many times I try to change it back to google. Here is my log from HJT.
