My 2003 server crashed, and this was the only domain controller I had.

I have built a new 2003 server and named it the same as the old and made it a domain controller.

The domain name is the same.

Do I need to do anything to the workstations so they use the new domain (which is named the same as the old)?

I really want all the workstations stay the same (i.e. keep their old desktop, my documents, etc).

What is the best way to do this?

Well if it is named as the old and you set it up as the old one your done! I run Windows Server 2003 my self so here are some good URLs.
