Why VB6 isnt a toy:

1. VB6 is better as it doesnt need .NET framework so it runs on older pcs
2. VB6 apps use less memory
3. People who paid hundreds/thousands for VB6 licences dont want to have to get new ones
4. VB6 isnt that different to .NET
5. Very useful language

Sorry my thread started a flame war as you guys put it, but anyway, I haven't started with vb or anything like that, I started with c++ and I'm finding it smooth going so far, I even wrote a simple programme that is relevant to my future profession - cool huh? And guess what, I really love C++ now, I want to go on to something else after about a year or so of constant c++ programming, I don't have much ideas as far as programmes go but I guess I'll just try with whatever comes to mind!!!
