I have been using JavaScript for almost one and half years and it has turned out to be a language that has enormous flexibility and customizable features which makes web development a great fun. But one thing I wanted to know is that, if JavaScript can be used to write an OS that can be run on the **web **?

I would say yes. Depends on your definition of OS and what features your OS will provide.

With OS, I mean all the features that an OS can provide.Since OS's have to handle complex tasks and work robustly,I wanted to know if JavaScript can stand at par with other languages that make a computer to work properly.
