i am getting the value of button by request.getParameter and comparing by .equals.....but the values are not getting stored in the database(it is not entering the if condition)...hoping for a solution.

You are being very vague on what it is you are trying to do. What values need to be stored? (it is not entering the if condition) ... what if condition?

Show us your code, tell us what the expected result is and what the actual result is. If there is a stracktrace, tell us what it said.
