Hi there,

I have a general question regarding video for web (sort of). One of the departments I work with would like to create a short narrated training video using still photos. Basically what they want to do is have a type of slideshow with probably some basic arrows or other shapes (elipses etc.) to highlight areas and then narrated.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the best software to do this with. For example, should we just create a powerpoint slide show with the images and shapes and then add the voice over or would something like Flash be a better option? These training videos will be available via our website and perhaps youtube.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I have had a good experience with using TechSmith's Camtasia.

Thanks, I have looked at that some time ago but couldn't remember the name.

Window's Moviemaker will also do basic stuff like that. Can't remember what formats it'll save in, but converting should be relatively easy once the basic video is done.
