I am trying to access the site hacksummit.org but it kept on being redirected to Freelancer's site. Any ideas as to why this happens?

@gentlemedia, you're probably right. Good thing though is that I can still view the recorded sessions in the conference at crowdcast (https://www.crowdcast.io/e/hacksummit-2014/) even though their landing page is out for a while.
