I am new to web design and would like to create a website of my own. Can any one help in guiding me in learning the languages needed for it.

Will this be a simple html/css design? Will you be using databases to create dynamic webpages?

Start with the basics of html and css. Then if you would need to utilize a database, then you may need to learn PHP or Coldfusion.

PHP can also be learned here while coldfusion can be found here and here.
