I’m dealing with a small SSD, and a 1 terabyte HDD. My issue is half the programs you install these days don’t even bother asking you where you’d like to install. About 90% of them I’m fine having on the HDD. What on earth - if anything - can I do to move an entitled, SSD-privileged program to my HDD and how do I repair the ensuing errors it makes? |

With the launch of Oculus Quest 2 (I have the original Quest), I was wondering if anyone had any favorite games they could recommend. I’ve been having a lot of fun with Tetris Effect somewhat recently. However, I’ve been getting a lot of migraines and have tried to avoid VR the past couple of weeks. I really thing Covid time is just getting to me and my poor sleep habits. |

A survey of attendees at Infosecurity Europe earlier this month showed 70 percent in favour of the dictionary definition (in this case the Cambridge Dictionary) of a hacker being amended. The amendment in question being to remove 'illegality' from the definition. The current definition of a hacker is "a person who is skilled in the use of computer systems, often one who illegally obtains access to private computer systems". So what do you reckon, DaniWebbers? Is it time that hacker was reclaimed entirely (rather than relying upon black and white labels) and if so what word should replace it as … |

I want to see your suggestions on comparing CPanel and FASTPANEL. I used CPanel for some time but later I changed to FASTPANEL which is absolutely free but provides you with the same opportunities. Also FASTPANEL's design looks much better than CPANEL's one. So now I can't understand why people pay for CPanel. What panel do you guys use and why? |

Today, the Entertainment Software Association released findings from two studies by Dr. Christopher Ferguson of Texas A&M University. In an interesting twist, Dr. Ferguson's findings suggest that not only are violent video games okay to give to children, they may actually be beneficial. Video games are often blamed for violent outbursts, as are movies, television and Catcher in the Rye. I lived in the same neighborhood as Columbine High School when the massacre took place. This particular tragedy was the first time I had heard video games being blamed for someone's behavior. Harris and Klebold reportedly liked playing Doom - … |

So I have this 1TB external hard drive that I use for my games. It was working fine uptill about a week ago. I opened my laptop like normal, it did its startup stuff and everything was looking good untill I went to play DOOM Eternal. An error poped up saying something like the .exe file could not be found. I looked into it and saw that my hard-drive wasn't showing up under the "This PC" tab in file explorer. I go to devices and it shows up there, but isn't being read as a storage device. And if there … |

I just bought a Figo Nitro 4X cell phone (Android 8.1) phone for my son. When I connect my cell phone (Figo Android 6) to my Windows 10 laptop it displays in file manager with an icon that I can open to see all the folders on my phone. From there I can easily copy files back and forth with file manager. When I plug in the new phone I still get the icon but when I open it I get a blank screen. No folders. The USB settings I have available on the phone are: 1. Charge Only 1. … |

Earlier today, I was in need of an easy way to delete files that mached a specific format within a series of folders. For the case of this example, let's say all CSS files. I discovered I could do it with: find . -name '*.css' -delete The . represents the current folder and below. Unfortunately you can't use `rm -r` because it doesn't recursively check for file names matching a pattern. |

Hello, I currently have a RedHat Linux version 6.4 running on a physical server (HP). However, recently it has started to show a failing disk problem, with some failures at software level as well like the terminal not opening properly, and while waiting for a new replacement disk to be made available, I would like to be able to backup a whole image of the server, and eventually run it on VirtualBox or VMWare should the disk fail completely. Any tool (free preferably) or manual steps which can be useful in my case? Thanks. |

Businesses all over the world are trying to figure out how to make the most of their digital marketing campaigns. The rise of influencer marketing is quite significant, and many celebrities that charge hundreds of thousands of dollars per Instagram post. However, many companies are already interested in figuring out how to use augmented reality (AR) for their future marketing and advertising campaigns. While augmented reality might not be as prevalent as some have predicted, there are still powerful corporations interested in utilizing it to their advantage. Of course, this doesn’t mean that consumers will start purchasing products and/or services … |

Ok this is a weird one and its been ongoing for many months, wondering if anyone has any ideas. We have 10-15 office 365 exchange email accounts and they all work perfectly fine apart from one account on one device. This particular account has intermittent issues with sending and emails just sit in the outbox. Some emails send up until a point and then it randomly stops. The machine has to be restarted and then they send immediatly upon opening outlook. The same email account is also being used on other laptops a mac and an iphone which are NOT … |

Ok. This might be a little long winded but i will try to give as much information as possilbe. I started with Office 2003 and then tried the 2007 Student trial version. When it expired I could not get it to uninstall so I dealt with the annoying problem until my university got the Office Pro Plus 2007 Win 32 version for us students and installed it thinking it would fix the problem. It didn't. So I uninstalled 2007 and 2003, then used a registry cleaner to get rid of all of the old office entries that were dead and … |

Hi Guys. I knw what I want to achieve but not how to achieve it! Any hints would be gratefuly received, or, if it's not possible, tell me so I can stop trying. I have an internet connection -> router with NAT, DHCP etc -> LAN with all kinds of switches and WiFi access points all on the same subnet. If the schools that my kids attend are anything to go by, it seems that high on Santa's list this Xmas just gone was an iTouch, iPhone or iPad depending how well off the parents were. That's understandable, they are just as attractive as gadgets for kids as they are to adults. But along with the never ending supply of free games, educational apps and the like comes the small problem of unfettered access to the Internet and all that brings with it. While adults may well have the family PC protected by parental control software to filter unsuitable content … |

We had a bug a little while back where we were accessing an old database for the GeoIP API. That meant that, for users whose geolocation were mapped from their IP address, it was incorrect/unknown for IP subnets not in the database. Now, 1-2 years later, can we go back and retroactively retrieve the correct location for each of those IP addresses with a more updated database? Or, is it possible, for example, that ISPs may recycle IP addresses across different cities/states? |

Rename any folder with extension {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} e.g., if we have a folder games press F2, then type, "games.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" see the magic.... then to get to original form, remove the extension using "ren games.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} games" in dos or as a bat file and you are done.. But the folder can be deleted. ~cheers~ :) |

So apparently Microsoft Word’s latest release shows a grammar error if you do two spaces after a period, this ending the debate of which is correct. I used to do two spaces after a period back on my old Apple IIGS with its mono spaces font. However, I’ve always said that since the world of kerning has existed in word processor apps, just add a single space and the software will give it the proper amount of spacing after a period before the next sentence begins. |
