Hello i ve tried to upload my first app on the App Store but i got this mesage from Apple. Any ideas how to proceed? *Your app provides a limited user experience as it is not sufficiently different from a mobile browsing experience. As such, the experience it provides is similar to the general experience of using Safari. Including iOS features such as push notifications, Core Location, and sharing do not provide a robust enough experience to be appropriate for the App Store. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to provide a more robust user experience …

I want several dates at the top of each page of a 365 page document, but I don't want to plug them in manually. Attached is a segment of the dates I have in a document, and another attachment showing how the Mac document looks. I'm trying to avoid a table because the positioning of them tables don't mesh well with the other elements, and I also tried to mess with the Equation aspect but I had no clue where to start. My last ditch effort will be to pay someone to plug in each date one at a time, …

I have been using Linux for the past year or two, it has been an amazing experience so far, aside of the lack of proprietary software support, namely Adobe products. I have been considering switching to MacOS for this very reason, and was wondering if anyone has made the move from MacOS to Linux or vice versa, and could share their experiences. What are some things you miss about one OS versus the other? How are things done differently? I am not too concerned with the aesthetics differences or customizability of aesthetics, but I do highly value the ability to …

Start with https://www.google.com/search?q=google+banned+all+apple+repair+ads and there it is. It appears to be mostly about Apple products and when two juggernauts, dare I write collude even if openly, we all lose. Apple's repair system is OK when your device is under AppleCare but beyond that we see the repair price climb to levels where they essentially tell you to buy a new unit. I've had no qualms about many third party repair companies but Apple seems to have declared war.

Someone left a comment on one of my posts similar to, "Linux won't be popular on the Desktop until it runs Windows applications." To which I silently responded, "Huh? and, "You've got to be kidding me." We have WINE for running Windows applications and it works reasonably well for those who care to spend the time to work through any problems with it. I don't think the Linux Community needs to spend time on such an undertaking. Is anyone asking Apple to run Windows applications so that it will gain popularity? No? Then, why should Linux? If you want to …

We have developed an app for iPhone. Our business requirement is to run the app at the background and listen to our server for the updates. We need to get the list of online users. This helps us in getting the list of online users and also in listenning to the server. Problem: iOS is killing the app after few minutes. I need the app to run at the background for ever. This is a proven concept and used by lots of apps on apple store. Please suggest me how to achieve this. If we use Background audio then the …

I keep getting a direct identifier error. I have tried deleting the pillarPlat004 assets and re-importing it and connecting it to the code, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm using swift in xcode. ![Screenshot_2016-04-09_19.27_.25_.png](/attachments/small/4/1f4a31b4ae5c37226cc4901e500e6fcd.png "align-left") ![Screenshot_2016-04-09_19.31_.50_.png](/attachments/small/4/4d94fd0a79c2f6fa708b11ec67f58885.png "align-left")

It's hard for me to admit it but there are things, ten things to be exact, that I really hate about Linux. Sometimes I think it's just me but I do see other people stating a few of these in the forums so I'm at least not alone with some of these issues. These are in no particular order and they aren't just rants; they're legitimate problems and issues that I find annoying, destroying or cloying. Feel free to add your own to the list in the Comments section. 1. Too Many Good Distros - I hate the fact that …

I have been a happy user of TomTom satnav products since they first hit the market some ten years ago now. For the most part, that has meant dedicated hardware for in-car use. However, when I last [reviewed the TomTom app for the iPhone here at DaniWeb back in 2010](http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/tablets-and-mobile-devices/reviews/333687/edit-your-own-satnav-maps-with-tomtom-for-iphone) it got a perfect 10/10 rating, the upgraded software truly being that good. In that original review I briefly mentioned that TomTom has a car-kit available for the iPhone which would charge the battery on the move and provide a GPS boost for those poor-signal areas. It also acted as …

The Swift computer language is the brainchild of a number of Apple associates. In my humble opinion it shows some nice features, but also some warts. Part 1 (constants, variables, strings, tuples, arrays) explores a number of the features to give you a taste of the language. I hope I can follow this soon with part 2 (dictionaries, loops, if/else, switch/case,.functions, classes) Even if you don't have an Apple computer, you can educate yourself using the Swift computer language. Just go onto the **Swift online playground** at **swiftstub.com** and start typing Swift code, enjoy the experience! Note: Xcode 7.0 came …

This may seem absurd at first but please read on. Recently I've heard that a lot of people are installing Mac on standard machines made for Windows - either using hardware Virtualization or using some kind of tweak with their BIOS. I also heard that Apple recently switched their working Archetecture to Intel processor making it easy to install their OS X on Windows machines. Earlier last month a friend of mine also tried installing OS X on his Windows machine. No, he did not use VMWare or any emulator, he actually installed in on his HDD with a bootloader …

As any fan of the The Matrix trilogy of films will tell you, the Keymaker is a character in The Matrix Reloaded who has the keys to provide Neo access to the system mainframe and by so doing hopefully save Zion from the ongoing sentinel attack. In the movie, the Keymaker was a little old Chinese man who held the keys to every door, every escape route, everything. In Apple OS X the equivalent is the Gatekeeper, a key technology which prevents malware from running on machines using that operating system. It does this by effectively locking the doors to …

According to a [SecureList posting](https://securelist.com/blog/69462/darwin-nuke/) dated April 10th, researchers Anton Ivanov, Andrey Khudyakov, Maxim Zhuravlev and Andrey Rubin discovered a vulnerability in the Darwin kernel back in December 2014. Why is this of interest? Well, the Darwin kernel is an open source part of both the Apple operating systems. The vulnerability could allow remote attackers to launch a DDoS on a device running OS X 10.10 or iOS 8. More worryingly, it could allow the attackers to send just a single, solitary incorrect network packet in order to crash the target system and impact upon any corporate network it may …

Ive made a java program to do automated tasks for a game. It takes screen shots with java.robot every 250 milliseconds. The program is working great, but it will always crash at around the 30min mark Im running this program on my mac, and this is the crash report that I get. I believe the plugin is what is crashes.
