I was trying to upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 ultimate. But when the setup completes installing windows 10 and it restarts nothing happens and my previous window 7 starts again. Like nothing happened. Neither any drive space is eaten up after the install. I know if i clean install through booting iso or usb i won't find such problem but i don't want to lose the data on it just want to upgrade. I'm installing it through creation tool. Hello all, So last night I decided to add an older HDD into my new desktop to... well add more storage since games now-a-days are HUGE, and I was running out on my current 2 drives (main SSD with Windows 10, and an HDD). Hi chaps, I have a Dell XPS17, dual booting with Windows and Ubuntu on it. I have to give it away and therefore reinstall windows. Usually, I'd format the whole HD and reinstall Windows, but I don't have the Windows CD – it wasn't dispatched with the laptop unfortunately – so I'd like to try to do everything with the Recovery partition. I checked and it appears to be there. Now, can I format the whole HD except the Recovery partition so that I reinstall windows and remove Ubuntu with some Windows' utility rather than manually formatting it? |

Hello All, I have an issue with Windows 7: sometime the copy paste doesn't work and when this issue appear => the only way to remove it is by rebooting my pc. The copy paste doesn't work (wether using using [Ctrl]+[C], [Ctrl]+[V] or by context menu (right-click menu)) for all the applications (notepad, word, eclipse, outlook, skype). And also I'm unable to copy folders and files from one location to another ! I do not post here to send here. When using a shared network drive, win7 does not remember any other computer passwords and when running applications with SQL Server connections win7 does not remember SQL Server's user / pass, SQL Server connection type is ODBC, you know how to fix this error ? |

Hello. I have a project to develop a tool that reads Windows 7 raw memory dump. My lecturer says that he'd rather we use python or c coz that's his specialy but we can choose whatever. We chose python (bcoz i feel like its an opportunity to further learn about python) but what do you guys think? what language would be a good choice? then theres the whole GUI thing to think about, if we use python we gotta find a GUI framework etc... Accidentally downloaded an update for adobe flash. Moments later, Bytefence installed itself onto my laptop, as well as an app called 'weatherbuddy'. My browser was also hijacked by Palikan. Finally, I was able to restore my default browser and I installed Malwarebytes and ESET. Both had found and deleted files relating to these apps, but they are still running in the background and appear on my taskbar icon tray but cannot be found in the control panel. Hello Members, I had used the Ghost cd to clone my Windows XP and Restore it in another PC. I never need to install any thing in computer but just insert the cd and for bacuking up/ restore.. That is Norton Ghost 11 version i reckon. it never supports Windows 7 backup.. Now ghost version 15 supports windows 7...please share some link to get that version and give me an instruction to follow.. Very very very thanking you! |

I got a new laptop and I didn't have enough money to buy Microsoft Office so I got Kingsoft Office instead. I'm trying to copy and paste a questionnaire that I completed online for a quiz for class. The questionnaire has the question and a box where you select true or false. I was able to highlight it all and copy and paste it into Microsoft Word on my old computer and the question and answer would appear. While trying to log in to my BBC Store account on my wife's PC, somehow I ended up replacing my wife's name as User at login (the only account and therefore admin) with my own name and Hotmail address. The named Documents folder has also changed to my name. I have no idea how this happened though it has something to do with me logging into Hotmail on her computer. But how do I rectify this and return the computer to her User name alone. My wife's PC runs on Windows 10 Home. |

How can I allow a non administrator domain user account to enable/disable network adapter.
