It started by itself? - please provide more details. Are there any beeps? Did you check VGA if it is seated well? (if you're not using intrgrated one) Is the CPU fan spinning? Are the mobo power cable(s) correctly plugged? Did you, by any chance, flash the BIOS? I suggest …
I'm having similar problems. My headphone/mic set up is plugged in correctly. Well, I can hear all playback and can record in to my computer using the mic, but can't hear myself in the headphones when talking into the mic. Does that make sense?
Some audio cards have the option …

I agree with Janine. Rechargeable batteries are very lifespan-limited. I could add 2 thoughts here: 1. Bad battery could be the symptom and not the cause. The cause could be bad charger/PSU that is not producing enough power to feed the machine and recharge the battery. Btw, do you get …

It is probbably not Nero issue, but burner issue. You should update your burner's firmware.

You will have to list the configuration. BIOS version, mobo EXACT brand/model/version, memory (brand/model) CPU (CPU-ID if possible) psu (W) VGA (Brand/model/bios version) and so. Also any messages. (try entering safe mode and viewing the logs in event viewer) Is it newly built and buggy or did it work fine …

This might be helpful. Partition the letter? That doesn't make much sense. You can only assign the letter to the volume or partition the hard drive. Only brand new drives and/or drives with deleted partitions need partitioning. Safest way to determine if your drive needs partitioning is to open disk …
Where can I find one. My board has a two pin led and my case has a 3 pin female plug. I can't find one. Anyone know where I can get one.
3 pin female plug.. that's odd. Usually they are all 2-pin female plugs, except for the beeper that …

Couple of things are inevitable with PCs that slows them down: - Registry becomes fragmented or full of past-installation leftovers - HD becomes fragmented Registry can be cleaned and defragmented using tool called "Free Registry Defrag" (among other free registry tools). It defragments and compacts the registry files. For the …

Your hardware list would provide some light. Sounds to me like hardware/driver issue. If you want stability, you should increase RAM voltage. Some RAM (like GAIL) are power-hungry, and default voltage just isn't enough. Couple of Q's: Are there any errors logged in event viewer? How high is your VGA …

Make sure that you hook it up to NT/2k//XP system. W95/98 (and Me, I think) won't read NTFS without add-on.

Try installing some hardware-monitoring tool to monitor the CPU core temperatures, if the time limit allows it. That way you will know if it is overheating and, thus, shutting itself down. Clean heatsink and spinning fan don't guarantee cooling. Thermal paste might be old or the heatsink might be not …

There should be "Quick POST" setting in your BIOS. You should disable it to see if any POST error messages will shed some light on your case. Also, if possible, look into event logs (part of administrative tools) to see if there are any error messages or warnings. While you're …

After quite some time (months) I've decided to clean up my email inbox, and the last email I got was a notification from Daniweb. Being reminded of good old times, I've decided to log in and check what's happening. Just as I forgot to log in from time to time, …

If your camera is still hooked up to your pc that may cause your pc to think that it is an external HD and try to boot from it. You should cahnge the boot order in your BIOS (f2-setup I presume). 1'st one should be HD. Also look for the …

That is 32 bit memory addresing limit. 4 GB minus dedicated video memory. If you upgrade your OS to 64 bit you'll get the full 6 GB available to your OS.

You will need a beeper.. it can tell you allot. You can use any beeper from any PC. Every motherboard has beeper (or PC speaker) connectors. For the troubleshooting, it means the world. Also, try this combination: PSU + MOBO + VGA (no RAM) .. and see if you get …

It is apparently VGA-related issue. If it was display issue, it wouldn't freeze. It would keep running with those lines on. No quick fixes there, I'm afraid. You bought faulty laptop. For the external monitor use, if it doesn't have any signal on the monitor jack, then you would have …

Maybe you should take a look at the CPU fan and heatsink. You haven't solved a problem. You just bypassed a shutdown. Problem is CPU's temp going up on, what you described, low-end game. My money is on the dirty heatsink and dying fan.
